Thank you so much for buying this Naxat Super Famicom game, Jaki Crush. Before playing, please read this instruction manual thoroughly so that you can enjoy the game properly. Furthermore, be sure to keep this manual safe.

Caution

  • Please be sure to unplug the AC adapter after use.
  • Do not play too close to the TV screen
  • When playing for long periods of time, please take a 10 minute break every 1-2 hours for your health.
  • This is a delicate machine, so do not use or store in extreme temperatures, and avoid strong shocks. Also do not take apart.
  • Do not touch ports or allow device to get wet or dirty, it may lead to damage.
  • Keep away from volatile chemicals like paint thinner, gasoline or rubbing alcohol.
  • Connecting a projector to the Super Famicon causes after images, so do not do so.

Welcome to the world of demons . . .
If you step into this lair of devilishness, there is no return. There was once a time when many foolishly tried to invade and fight through our world. We tore them apart, and now they remain trapped in our world as slaves. If you wish to return to your world, the only way is to use the jewel of Indra to destroy this world itself. So, let me give you a chance to survive. Your fate lies with the jewel, now come at us!

Basic Controls

  • L button: Screen shaking
  • R button Screen shaking
  • D pad: Left bumper control, cursor movement
  • Select button: Item select, open and close ranking display
  • Start button: Game start, screen select, pause
  • A button: right bumper control, shoot ball, determine
  • B button: password input
  • Y button: open and close score display

*Bumper controls and screen shaking can be changed via CON FIG (see page 12)

Gameplay Mode Selection

Begin by deciding the gameplay mode and number of players. Once the title screen appears, press the start button and choose. Use the up and down arrows on the D pad or the select button to choose, and then the start button to confirm.

Screen Explanation and Positions I (upper screen)

Try to get that extra ball for some more strategy points!

You can get an extra ball (+l ball) in the following situations:

  • When the bonus chips and multiplier are both MAX
  • When the jackpot is 4x, the bronze mirror spirit has only clothes on, and the arrow has a ball in it. * there are other ways as well, try to find them.

  3. Western Gate Demon:
    • 1 hit = 1,000p, 4th hit= 10,000p + destroyed + mouth 5 opens+ bonus chip 1 up
  4. Eastern Gate Demon:
    • 1 hit= 1,000p, 4th hit= 10,000p + destroyed + hand 6 opens + bonus chip 1 up
  5. 3-Eyed Demon:
    • Ball in = 2,000p and a multi-ball when multi ball conditions are met
  6. Bahanda (baousei):
    • Ball in = 1,000p or if fog is on the top of screen then 1,000p + bonus calculation + fog disappears
  7. Fiend Frog:
    • 1 hit= 500p, 2nd hit= 2,000p + explosion + bonus chip 1 up
  8. Bronze Mirror Spirit:
    • 1 hit= 500p, 8th hit= 25,000p + becomes clothes only.
    • When clothes only, 1 hit = 500p, 2nd hit = 25,000p + explosive destruction
  9. Bronze Mirror:
    • When the bronze mirror demon explodes, it will flash for a fixed period of time. A ball in = 20,000p + bonus stage.
    • Flashing colors determines stage.
      • Red= Fire
      • Green= Ice
      • Blue= Cycle
      • Yellow= Thunder God
      • Purple= Noh Mask
      • Light Blue= 4 Gods
  10. Fiendish Cavern:
    • Ball in= 2,000p

Screen Explanation and Positions II (middle screen)

Get strategy points and bonus calculations for a high score!

There are several ways in game to get bonus calculations. To aim for a high score, it’s important to make good use of them. Let’s try to get up our bonus points, bonus chips, and multipliers.

BP x BT x BM = Bonus Score

Bonus Points x Bonus Chips x Multiplier = Bonus Score

  1. Human Face Spider:
    • When brown: 1 hit= 1,000p + explosion.
    • When red: 1 hit = 1 hit = 1,000p, 2nd hit = 1,000p + explosion
    • When 4 are destroyed, 2,000p + basic points up (change from brown to red)
  2. Splitting Demon:
    • 1 hit = 1,000p, 4th hit = 10,000p + splits into 4 small demons
    • Small demon: 1 hit = 1,000p, 4th hit = 5,000p + explosion+ bonus chip one up. When all 4 are destroyed, 40,000p
  3. Samsara Demon:
    • 1 hit= 5,000p, after 4 hits, mouth opens and breathes fire
    • Ball in = 2,000p + bonus stage (cycle)
  4. Thunder Demon:
    • Ball in = 2,000p + bonus stage (Thunder god)
  5. Guardian Demon:
    • 1st hit = 400p, 2nd hit = 2,000p + bonus chip 1 up + explosion
    • When all 4 are destroyed, 40,000p + basic points + multiplier 1 up
  6. Demon Lantern:
    • Changes 1 stage for each of (15) destroyed.
    • After 3 stage changes the mouth of (14) opens for 20 seconds.
    • Passing through the lantern turns you into a red ball, giving 4 times the points for the next 60 seconds.
  7. Suspicious Fire:
    • 1 hit = 1,000p + goes out.
    • When all are put out, 7,000p + basic score up + 30 open
  8. Guardian Cavern:
    • Ball in = 2,000p

Screen Explanation and Positions III
(lower screen)

Make a difference using the strategy point multi ball!

Something happens when the Yaksha opens its mouth and you get a ball in. The 3 eyed demon on the upper screen holds the key to what comes after. Find and get a taste of the powerful multi ball. Multiballs lead to a higher score!

  1. Closing Bone:
    • Closes after the ball is launched and passes through.
  2. Starving Demon:
    • 1 hit = 1,000p + starts to move.
    • Hit while moving = 2,000p + explosion + bonus chip 1 up.
    • Destroying all = 30,000p + (32) appears.
  3. Fire Dragon:
    • 1 hit = 1,200p.
    • 8th hit = 30,000p + multiplier increase + mouth opens
    • Ball in = bonus stage (fire)
  4. Ice Dragon:
    • 1 hit = 1,200p.
    • 8th hit = 30,000p + multiplier increase + mouth opens
    • Ball in = bonus stage (ice)
  5. Yaksha Stone:
    • If hit while a stone = 600p, 2 hits changes the yaksha’s color.
    • If hit while a skull = 600p, skull splits into 3.
    • Whenever (20) is destroyed, the arrangement changes. There are 4 patterns of change.
  6. Changing Demon:
    • 1 hit = 2,000p, ball in = 200,000p + bonus calculation (bonus chips are kept after calculation).
  7. Yaksha:
    • Changes when (23) is hit. Ball in earns a multi ball.
  8. Fish Faced Demon:
    • 1 hit = l000p, after 2 hits changed to fish face.
    • Fish face 1 hit = l000p, 2nd hit = 2,000p + explosion + bonus chip 1 up.
    • When all are destroyed, 20,000p + (24) mouth opens + multiplier 1 up.
  9. Flame of Departure:
    • 5,000p + bonus calculation
  10. Flame of Return:
    • 300p + (31) released (right to left, left to right)
  11. Cow Demon:
    • 1 hit = 500p, 6th hit = 10,000p + basic score up + demon bird appears
  12. Open Spirit Bone
  13. Rescue Spirit Bone

Bonus Stages / Dimensional Boundaries

Jaki Crush has 6 bonus stages in addition to the main stage. They are known as dimensional boundaries, and the master of each is waiting for your arrival. Achieve a perfect to earn a high score.

Score display

Explanation of score display

Score is not shown on screen while playing. Pressing the Y button displays it at the top of the screen. Pressing again closes it.

Ranking display

After a game over, a ranking screen is displayed, with the top 5 scores and your score (in green) appearing. At this time, if your score is in the top 5, you can register a name.

How to register
Move left and right using the d pad. A button to finish. *If you wish to see the ranking screen while playing, press the select button to view it. Press it again to close.

Configuration

When choosing “config” on the selection screen, the configuration screen appears. Use the up and down arrows to change selected function and left and right to change contents.

  • Config Tilt: Change controller handling
  • Cursor A/L/R: D-pad for left bumper, A button for right bumper, L and R buttons to shake screen
  • Cursor A/B: D-pad for left bumper, A button for right bumper, B button to shake screen
  • L/R Cursor: L button for left bumper, R button for right bumper, D-pad to shake screen
  • Ball speed: 2 levels, high and low
  • Sound test: you can hear the music and sound effects used in Jaki crush.

Password

While playing, switch to the ranking screen and press the B button to make a password appear. Inputting this password into the password input from the game selection screen allows you to resume the game with the current score and number of remaining balls. Use the D-pad to input a password.

(Warning, turning off the power or resetting will render the password invalid)

Jaki Crush Secret Special

There are many secret techniques to get a high score in Jaki Crush. Let’s introduce some of them here.

Jack Pot

  • When getting perfect in a bonus stage, the ball will turn blue and give double points for 60 seconds
  • When the splitting demons in the left and right lanes are destroyed and all the small demons are destroyed, the ball will turn purple and give triple points for 60 seconds
  • Passing through the demon lantern turns the ball red, giving quadruple points for 60 seconds

Special Bonuses

  • If all 4 human faced spiders are destroyed while your score is 0, there is a 500,000p bonus
  • If you release fog while the bronze mirror is flashing, 1,000,000p bonus
  • When you have 50 bonus chips and only the bottom starving demon remains, getting a ball in with the ice dragon gives 1,000,000p bonus
  • When you have a 7x multiplier and 77 bonus chips, leave just one fiend frog alive and enter the right fiendish cavern, 80,000,000p bonus

Regarding lucky chances:

After game over a lucky chance screen appears 3 numbers rotate and can be stopped with the A button. If the stopped number marches the last 3 digits of your score, you can keep playing with 1 more ball.
